Since the very beginning of this project, my idea has been to use an 80s ska/punk song and recreate scenes which would be reminiscent of this era. One thing which has differed along the way, however, is how I would effectively introduce that idea from the start of the video. Initially I planned to film a pupil rebelling from school - and essentially society - by defacing a photo or newspaper headline of Margaret Thatcher. This mise-en-scene would have instantly told the audience that the plot was set in the past and would have promoted the genre which specificaly reinforced anarchy and 'power to the people'.

Although this idea was fitting for the genre, after thoroughly thinking through the process I realised I would find difficulty in hilighting this moment as a key point in the video without making it too enigmatic for the audience to understand. Because of this obstacle, I had to reconsider.
